Under the Bridge is new based on a true story, true crime miniseries debuting on Hulu April 17th, 2024. The story is based on the 2005 book of the same name written by Rebecca Godfrey. The story centers around the murder of Reena Virk, a 14-year-old Canadian born girl of Indian descent who was found beaten and killed in Saanich, British Columbia in 1997. The case was described as a national tragedy. The Hulu series stars Seattle based newcomer Vritika Gupta as Reena Virk who started acting when she was 7. The series also stars experienced Emmy award winning British actor Archie Panjabi who is cast as Reena Virk's mother Suman. Her father Manjit is played by Ezra Faroque Khan a British actor born to a Ugandan Mother and Pakastani father. A special guest appearance is made by Anoop Desai, Actor and singer also known for his sixth-place finish on Season 8 of American Idol. Major roles also belong to Lily Gladstone as officer Cam Bentland and Riley Keough who stars as the author Rebecca Godfrey in the quest to write the book the series is based on. The series so far as of this writing has a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
